My oldest daughter has been a Junior Girl Scout for a few months now. She’s growing up so fast! That’s what I was thinking when I went to put away her Brownie vest the other day.
I think it’s pretty neat that she will have it as a kind of keepsake for when she gets older.

I have a badge blanket – when I was done with a uniform, I’d transfer everything to a fleece blanket, and use it as part of my bedroll when I went camping. It was a definite conversation started when I was an adult scout and working at a GS summer camp — I had both the earned and the “fun” patches sewn on. (My “Brownie” years were a bit sparse – I’m from the Brownie Bs era, long before Try-Its!)
