When I was in my late teens and early twenties I played a game called Magic the Gathering. Somewhere along the way it was like most of my friends stopped playing or got to busy or what have you, so I stopped playing too. Besides, life had gotten too busy anyway.
Fast-forward a whole lotta years later, and I now have a daughter that tends to love all the geeky little things like me. Soooo, when I was out Christmas shopping I happened to see like a starter box/set for MTG and was so excited because I just knew that it was something she would really enjoy. Plus, I was really excited to be able to play it again too.
Well, I think I’ve created a monster lol,
She wants to play all the time! Do you have any idea how nice it was to find a (non-electronic) gift that she loves?! And it’s something we can do together!
Here she is looking over all her cards trying to perfect her deck. Look at how deep in thought she is. Love it!

Wow! I am jealous!! My daughter has followed the footsteps of her highly geeky older brother and has found the world of electronics! She got into the Pokeman cards…briefly before ‘Go’ emerged! Enjoy this for as long as you can!
I took a hiatus from blogging for several years to raise my two and am just getting back involved in it.
I hope you will visit my blog, comment, and follow me too 🙂

My kiddo likes Pokemon too. It wasn’t something I could ever get into, so it’s nice having this game that we both enjoy playing together.
Welcome back to the blogosphere 😉 Off to visit your blog!

When I used to play it in school (waayyy back in the day, lol) it was mostly boys that would play. It was rare to see a girl play it actually. Glad I did though! Your boys probably would like it very much! Have a great day!

It’s great seeing how focused your daughter is. Love seeing when kids really get into something, especially when it’s not digital.
