I received an Original Prize Candle to review from Tastemaker Mom. All opinions are my own. Ever since the first time I heard about these prize candles, I’ve wanted one. I mean, what’s not to like? It’s a candle with jewelry in it! Um, yes please! So, you can imagine my excitement when my beautiful candle arrived. I received a 9 oz Eco-conscious premium soy Prize Candle in the scent Jasmine Neroli.
Each candle has a prize hidden in it that is valued at $10 to $5,000! I couldn’t wait to see what sparkly little surprise was waiting for me. Once I lit it, I couldn’t help but to constantly walk over to it and check to see if my jewelry had started to make an appearance. Believe it or not, I even caught Hubby checking on it too! He had never even heard of a Prize Candle before. Every time I caught him examining the candle, I had to chuckle just a bit.
As it burned, I noticed just how lovely the candle scent was. The fragrance was just enough to let you know it was there, without being overpowering. It’s a good thing considering I planned on letting it burn until I could get to the prize. 😉
Once the candle had burnt about one-third or so of the way down, I started to see a corner of something plastic sticking up from the wax. As it burned down farther, I could see part of the ring through the little plastic case it was in. I was getting really, really excited at this point! It was almost too much to bear. I mean, it was right there! So, I blew out the candle and tried to wiggle it out of there, but no luck, so I re-lit it and waited. I totally felt like a little kid at Christmas, so fun!
After letting it burn a bit more, I was finally confident that I could get to my prize that had been teasing me all this time. I grabbed some tweezers and pulled it out of there. Yay, success!
The ring was in a plastic bag, which was inside of the little plastic capsule. So, it came out wax free and beautiful! And now that I had my gorgeous ring, it was time to use the code that was included to find out just how much it was worth. I entered my code on the appraisal section of Prize Candle’s website to find out that my ring was worth $10.
I now have a beautiful new ring as well as the rest of my lovely candle to burn and enjoy!

I like how you can enter the code and find out how much the ring is worth. It’s like Cracker Jacks for adults.

This is totally the grown-up version of finding a prize at the bottom of the cereal box! I love that you get two fabulous things in one. I’d love to receive one, but this would make for a great Christmas gift for my girlfriends.
